Documents and Flow connection

I'm just learning this software but at the moment, it seems like the Documents feature is not completely useful yet. Documents can be converted into flows, but after that there is no connection between the flow objects created and the original document chapters. It makes the document feature only useful for a single draft of dialogue, but once you convert it to a flow objects and start editing there, there's no use for the original document. It seems like a missed opportunity, from a workflow and usability standpoint.
TL;DR; it would be great if documents and flow objects could be linked such that changing one would change the other (they would just be 2 views of the same data).
