Dialogue Fragment Formatting

Thu 2. Jan 2014, 02:30

Hey guys, so I'm having a bit of an issue with the formatting of dialogue.

Right now I have an NPC who's words lead to 5 responses by the player. Unfortunately after finishing the first set of 5 responses, the next set overlaps on top of them. In other words, the dialogue fragments don't automatically adjust their locations and are just overlapped by the newly generated fragments. Is there a way to fix this? It's a really big hassle as I'm planning to branch out to thousands of responses. Manually moving each set of five would be an insane amount of work.

Erm. Do the devs not read this forum?

It's a rather simple question...

Hi ethanol,

Sorry for the late response!
Unfortunately, the flow offers no "auto-layout"-mode, yet. This feature is on our roadmap for future updates, but don't expect it to be released soon.

As a workaround I would recommend using the "distribute vertically"-action. Thus you only have to move two nodes (one to the top, one to the bottom), then select all options and click on distribute vertically. It's not the perfect way, but it should at least result in a clean layout.
