Login to the source control system has failed or was aborted

Hi guys,

I'm on a Multi-User trial and trying to get it working with my buddy. I've got the server running, ports forwarded, users created, they can sign in, and during import they receive the attached error.

It seems like their system is attempting to resolve a hostname that isn't on their system, because it would be on mine. Do I need to edit their /etc/hosts equivalent or something?

As far as I know, I'm not doing anything strange, this is all default setup.

Hi Eric,

you are quite right, in the default setup, the server simply reports its own local name with is totally sufficient for LAN configurations.

In the internet case you need to ensure that the reported name could be resolved to the right computer, with is the internal machine in the internal network and the router for you buddies from outside.

As I assume you have an external routeable name for your buddies they use to connect the articy:server the easiest way might be to just set the -svn.machinename configuration.
