articy and git?

Fri 7. Feb 2014, 15:15

Hello again :)

I have a quick question.
As I said in a previous thread, my team's writer and myself are working together using articy through a dropbox workflow.
We were wondering if it would be possible to host our project in a repository as GitHub instead and work through Git.
Is it possible?

Nevermind this. We did a test hosting project on Git and obviously git regards the files as binary, so we can't really compare minor changes in partitions (Like what happens with Unity assets conversion to text).
However, we're doing the trial of the multi-user of articy and it's pretty impressive and pretty straightforward.
Is a pity that the we still need to host the server. Hopefully in the future Nevigo will be able to offer a solution for acting as a server themselve. Some cloud integration.

I have a question about the "Internal Articy Subversion". When we use this option, where are the files hosted?
Kind regards.

Hi Pyrobon!

When using the internal SVN your repository is by default created in a directory right next to your articy:server database.
And yes, as you already noticed, we currently don't have Git support.
