[BUG] Unity crashes on import

Every time I reimport a new .articyu3d (usually happens automatically), my entire Unity crashes. Unfortunately I can't reproduce it right now to show you a bug report image, as reimporting again works fine after it already crashed once. But next time it happens (guaranteed on new structural changes like template / feature names), I'll post an image of the crash report in here. Also might look through Unity logs and post here later if that helps.

I have Unity version 5.6.0f3 and Articy Importer version 31676. Not sure if it matters but I usually also have Visual Studio Community 2015 running alongside it. (I think one time I closed it to see if that fixed it, but no it did not)

Any help would be very appreciated as this problem is driving me mad. Thanks.

Hi Raidenthequick,

yeah that bug is the bane of my existence. I still try to check with unity to see if its the plugin; unity or a combination of both.
The worst part is the fact that it is only happening sometimes, usually a structural change like toggeling localization.

The only thing i can tell you at the moment is that i'm trying to solve this with unity but have no further information.
But rest assured, if that changes i let you all know.

And ofc i'm grateful for all the additional informations you can give me.

Best regards

Nico

Hi h3llye,

unfortunately no. Unity is rather quiet if it is not a trivial issue. But at least they confirmed the crash issue, which is now a month ago.
So i have nothing positive to report at this time.

Sorry but i will keep you all updated.

best regards

Nico
