Specifying properties to export in export rules

Thu 19. Oct 2017, 05:58

Hi,

I have a problem with exporting data to JSON. I would like to exclude general properties for the object like color, position, I don't need this. I'm unticking them in Data Layout Editor but they're still in JSON. Is there a way to change it?

Thanks for help,
Agnes

Hi Agnes,

that sounds indeed wrong. Could you tell me on what object types this is happening? I tested it and it worked fine for most of the flow objects(there is a bug with Annotations when you try to use multi selection as it seems). So it sounds like it is more the way how you change them or what kind of objects are changed. When you change it, and you are using multi select or using the top level group "Flow & Document Types" is it correctly exported for some or none? Do you have multiple Export Rulesets?

Best regards

As you see in the attached screenshot, I unticked all the general properties but I still have them in my JSON file.

Could you send me the related export json and possibly the whole articy:draft project to nico.probst(at)nevigo.com. It is possible that your project got corrupt, because that is clearly a bug and doesn't happen in my tests.
In the meantime you could try to delete your current ruleset and create a new one to make sure that if it got corrupt you start with a fresh one. Of course this shouldn't be happening, but this way we can make sure.

This is just a test project because I was testing if we can use articy:draft for our designers to model data we need to have in JSON for programmingso it doesn't matter if it's corrupted. But I started a fresh project and it's the same problem. I will email you my project in a minute.

Awesome! Thanks.
Well, my insurance won't get me a new car. That's why I should play at sizzling hot deluxe 777 com. Right now I have to read more about the rules.
