Mac version
articy:draft X is now officially available on Mac OS. Although technically the same version, there are some little differences due to the different operating systems.
In case you delete these demo projects or have changed them so much you want to get back to the original state, you can download them again via the web site. Extract them anywhere you like and use “Open from file” in the Welcome Screen to locate and open them.
Shortcuts involving function keys on Mac usually include the function key as well. On Windows the shortcut to open the property sheet of a selected object is F8, on the Mac it would be Function plus fn + F8. Please note that on Mac it is possible to change the way how the function keys work in the settings, so even if the standard shortcut displayed is fn + F8, on your machine it might only be F8.
The Help Center will display either Windows or Mac specific shortcuts based on system and browser, but in a Browser you can always use the toggle switch at the top of the Navigation to select a specific operating system to display.
The easiest way to access your profile folder is using the File menu while running articy and selecting "Open Profile Folder in Finder" from there.
In the Support Files folder, you can find the XSD scheme for the XML export, as well a selection of “made with articy:draft X” logos.
If you work on a Mac Book or another machine without a dedicated key, the default shortcut to delete an object is + . If you’d rather only use to delete something, you can add the this command line switch to the articy configuration file to change that behavior.
-flow.ZoomSensitivity
Mouse zoom threshold parameter. Sets the sensitivity of when mouse movements (scroll wheel or Magic Mouse touch) start zooming.
Defaults to 11 on Mac and 20 on Windows. Smaller numbers decrease the threshold, larger numbers increase it.
-flow.textscale
A floating point value is required as parameter.
Modifies the main box text size of nodes in the Flow view. 0.81 is default text size, a smaller number decreases text size, a bigger number increases it.
These exports are tested for compatibility with Microsoft Office products only. The Mac products Pages and Numbers are not supported.
Licenses
All articy:draft X licenses are compatible with both Windows and Mac OS. You won’t have to acquire a new license when you decide to switch from a Windows device to a Mac device and vice-versa. An articy:draft X license can be used on one device at a time, on Windows or Mac.Please note that the articy:server for multi-user can only be run on a Windows machine. Check system requirements here. We offer hosting options, if you do not want to set up your own server.
