AI assisted Barks
Barks are used in almost every video game, for example for exclamations you hear when passing an NPC in a busy city street, or success messages when the player character manages to combine items in a useful way. AI assisted barks give you a quick foundation, you can edit and expand upon.
Select or create a Dialogue node or Flow Fragment (depending on the setup of your project) as a container 1. Right click the object and select “AI assisted barks” 2.
The AI Helper for barks window opens. It comes with a Settings button 3, the preview area, where barks are displayed 4, and the text field for your prompt 5.
The Settings menu for AI assisted barks comes with the following options:
6 Amount of Barks: The total amount of AI assisted barks.
7 Speaker entity for Barks: Select an existing entity as the speaker.
8 Amount of Barks per row: Creates a grid in the flow. Number must be smaller than the total amount of barks.
9 AI model: A list of available AI models.
10 Temperature: A value to control the creativity level of the generated barks. A higher value means more creative, a lower value less.
11 Additional object for context: If you add an object here, its description text is sent as additional information to the AI.
12 Include prompts and responses in log files: If checked, prompts and responses are added to the articy log file. Uncheck if articy support is not supposed to see any parts of project data, when sending in a log file regarding a support issue.
Enter your prompt 13 and finish with “Enter” or by clicking the Start button 14.
If you are happy with the output, click the checkmark 15 to convert the barks to flow objects. If not, you can tweak your prompt and try again.
