Adding sprites in location

Thu 13. Mar 2014, 11:08

Hi,

We would need to use the location feature to develop a point & click adventure game.
It's currently impossible to put sprites over the background to add objects on the scene and precisely define their coordinates.

The only way today is to use "links" which don't allow to set up visually the objects position.

In the Maniac Manfred sample, the objects are included in the background. We would need them to be put over the background, and manipulate them.
This could easily be done if we could associate a picture to a zone background, or have the possibility to display links as the real picture instead of a circle containing the picture.

Do you have planned such a feature?

yes, it is very necessary thing! +1

and if you can... please... add zoom zones for locations.. it's just like zone where you can click, whereupon there creates another picture (location) where can be other zones and objects, links..

Nicolas, thanks for the suggestion. The feature is already on our roadmap ("image objects") and we missed it badly when we created the Maniac Manfred demo project ;). Not sure if it'll make it into the location editor improvements introduced in the 2.4 update (Sneak peek), but we're definitely working on it.

arkdzo, you can put a link to another (zoom) location on a location map. Double-clicking it will take you to the zoom location as you desired. Does this help?

All the best,
-Kai
