Path objects

Paths can for example be used to visualize patrol routes of NPCs or possible ways through a certain level. You can create paths by defining single waypoints or you choose the freehand type to create more detailed paths (with a lot more individual points).

How to draw paths?

Pick one of the path tools from the toolbar:

Create new path

Create new freehand path

Paths are created in the same way as custom shaped zones: Left-click on the canvas to create connected points. Finish the creation with a right-click.

Freehand paths are created slightly different: Simply press the left mouse-button then move the mouse to draw a path along the mouse-cursor. Left-clicking the mouse again finishes the drawing of the freehand path.

To edit a path afterwards, double-click it. While a path is in edit-mode (orange with aura) you can move every single vertex (point) to change its course.

Furthermore you can add points to a path by left-click on the path.

To delete individual points hold CTRL and left-click the point you want to remove.

Transform zones

You can also transform zones to resize or rotate them easily.

Different endpoints

You can choose between several different styles for the start 1 and end 2 point of paths. Select a path to choose the endpoint styles from the dropdown-menus in the selection toolbar.
