Export to .xlsx

Export to Microsoft® Excel® (.xlsx)

You can export data in a structured way to Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheets.
Click "Export project" in the main menu and select the .xlsx export option 1.

On the left side you can select the objects you want to export by checking / unchecking 2. On the bottom you can specify file location and name 3. On the right side you find additional export options:

4 Sorted by

Each object is represented by a row in the spreadsheet. This setting specifies how rows should be sorted, either by...

  • Name
  • Technical name
  • Object type
  • Template
  • Project path

5 Grouped by

When you enable grouping, the first column will be used for grouping. Plus, the groups can actually be collapsed and expanded in Excel®, to help you focus.

6 Create worksheet for each type

This option lets articy:draft create a worksheet for each of the object types instead of using the Excel grouping feature:

7 Naming to be used

Specifies what text should be displayed in column headlines: A property's display name or technical name.

8 Sorting options

Ordering features affects the horizontal ordering of feature columns and specifies which come first further left in the spreadsheet. Sort Global variables gives you the option to sort variables according to name, variable set, or data type.

9 Page size

Here you can switch between:
  • A4 (8.3 x 11.7 in)
  • Letter (8.0 x 10.5 in)

10 Display statistics

This option adds a statistics row below the actual content.

11 Export markup

You are able to change the color, the size or the style of your text within articy:draft. If you check this box, the formatted articy properties in the exported Excel file will contain standard HTML source code instead of pure text.
